It is almost inconceivable that NATO will intervene in Syria unless Turkey leads it, including by air.

Turkey has one of the best airforce's in human history. Significantly better than the Israeli Air Force for example. At least 240 F-16s, all being upgraded to Block 50+.

Even if Turkey leads a NATO operation, some countries like the US might opt out of all but support missions.

Hillary Clinton confirmed during her Press Conference with Indian foreign minister Krishna that the US has not yet provided military aid to the Free Syrian Army.

There are many in the Obama administration who do not want the US to get involved. Many Israelis for example are urging this course of action.

There is no evidence that President Obama has made up his mind. He seems to remain divided on what he should do.

Can I ask a sensitive question to both Tony and Zara.

Let us say that the US decides to only slightly aid the free Syrian army and they are left with Turkey, Arab League, OIC and some European support. And let us assume that Assad starts winning.

If this happens, and if Israel offers the Free Syrian Army support. And if Turkey and Saudi Arabia and UAE/Qatar/Egypt/Jordan urge the free Syrian Army to take Israeli help (because they want to bring Assad down without doing too much heavy lifting themselves), what should the free Syrian Army do?

Zara and Tony, this isn't an easy question to answer. Perhaps you could analyze the pros and cons for a few weeks and then give an answer?
