Pictures show Egyptian army executed those who appeared in torture video

The activists also uncovered that the victims, who the military spokesperson claimed were killed on 10 October in clashes with the armed forces, were, in fact, executed after they were arrested and tortured in one of the army's barracks close to Al-Mahdiyah region.
Activists in Sinai were furious when they uncovered that the pictures of two dead men, released by an Egyptian military spokesperson on 10 October, were the same victims who appear in the torture video posted recently on the internet, Rassd News Network reported.

The activists also uncovered that the victims, who the military spokesperson claimed were killed on 10 October in clashes with the armed forces, were, in fact, executed after they were arrested and tortured in one of the army's barracks close to Al-Mahdiyah region.
Rassd reported that a local news agency has matched the details of the clothing and the appearances of the victims in the video with the clothing and appearances of the victims in the pictures released by the military spokesperson.
The local news agency, which exclusively published the report along with the photos and the video, taken from the military spokesperson's social media page, said: "Since 26 October 2014, a number of activists have been circulating a video clip leaked by Egyptian soldiers that shows the torturing of two men from the Sinai. After thorough investigation, it has been proven that the video is 100 per cent authentic. The video is dated 10 October 2014."
It added that the two men who were subjected to torture in the video are (with full names):
  1. Ahmad Abd Al-Qadir Ifrij, 18 years of age, from Al-Mahdiyah village. In the video he appears wearing an Egyptian gown that is beige in colour and pants that are completely stained red with blood as a result of torture.   2. Yousef Atiq, who worked in the mosque as the caller to prayer, also from Al-Mahdiyah. In the video he appears wearing a sky blue Egyptian gown that is stained with blood as a result of torture and grey pants. According to Rassd, the news agency confirmed that the two persons died and were killed after the Egyptian armed forces tortured them as is shown in the video.
It went on to say that the military spokesperson who published the pictures of them dead wrote in describing the pictures that: "The armed forces were able to attack a den of the terrorists, exchanged fire with them and killed two of them."
